IMH Products is a Midwest leader in onshore metal stamping. Companies across the United States rely on us for contract stamping services that combine precision, efficiency, and flexibility. With 46 presses ranging from 40 tons to 800 tons, we have the capacity to take on projects of any size. From high volume progressive die stamping to specialized low volume runs, IMH delivers consistent quality and dependable lead times.
The Value of Onshore Stamping
Manufacturers today face growing pressure to secure reliable supply chains. Offshore stamping can lead to unpredictable delivery schedules, communication challenges, and higher total costs once shipping and tariffs are factored in. Onshore stamping provides a stronger alternative. By keeping production domestic, you gain faster turnaround, greater oversight, and stronger accountability.
IMH gives customers these benefits while maintaining cost competitive stamping solutions. Our Midwest location means we can ship quickly to major markets across the country, making us an ideal partner for companies seeking to reshore stamping work.
A Complete Press Fleet
Our stamping operation is built on a diverse range of presses, which allows us to match the right machine to the specific demands of each part. We operate both mechanical and hydraulic presses with bed sizes up to 60 inches by 84 inches.
Our press list includes:
- 1 – 800 Ton Straight Side Knucklejoint Press
- 1 – 600 Ton Double Crank Press
- 1 – 400 Ton Single Crank Press
- 4 – 300 Ton Straight Side Presses
- 1 – 250 Ton Mechanical Press
- 2 – 250 Ton Hydraulic Presses
- 2 – 200 Ton Straight Side Presses
- 14 – Presses ranging from 100 to 150 tons
- 20 – Presses ranging from 40 to 100 tons
With this range of tonnage, IMH can handle light gauge brackets, medium duty parts, and heavy duty structural components all under one roof.
Continuous Feed Coil Stamping
Efficiency is at the heart of our stamping operation. Many of our presses are equipped with coil feed systems, which allow us to run continuous feed coil stamping. This process feeds a strip of metal through a die that contains multiple stations. Each station bends, forms, or cuts the material in sequence, and by the time the strip exits the press, a complete part has been produced.
This progressive die stamping method allows IMH to produce parts with speed and accuracy. Instead of multiple setups and tools, all required steps are completed in a single die. Customers benefit from faster production, reduced waste, and more precise parts. For high volume projects, coil stamping is one of the most efficient methods available.
Progressive Die Stamping Expertise
Progressive die stamping is one of IMH’s core strengths. We have decades of experience building, maintaining, and running progressive dies. This expertise allows us to create tooling that combines multiple operations into one process. The result is lower cost per part and consistent repeatability across large production runs.
Many of our customers provide existing dies, and our team has the skill to maintain and repair those tools for ongoing production. We also welcome the challenge of running older die sets and can often improve their performance through expert adjustment and maintenance.
Tool and Die Support
A major advantage of IMH is our in house tool and die shop. Our toolmakers design and build new dies, create prototype tooling for testing, and repair or maintain customer owned dies. Having this capability on site means projects do not get delayed waiting on outside vendors. It also allows us to make quick changes or improvements to tooling during production, keeping jobs on schedule and minimizing downtime.
For customers with legacy tooling, IMH has the experience to keep dies running effectively while extending their service life.
Materials We Stamp
IMH works with a wide range of metals to meet customer requirements. The most common materials are carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. We also process specialty alloys as needed for specific applications.
Our Midwest location provides strong access to domestic steel and aluminum suppliers, reducing material lead times and improving overall supply chain reliability.
